We received these photos a few weeks back but they never made it onto the blog. It's time to fix that oversight, because the Audi S6 has been a longtime favorite of Audi enthusiasts since the model was lunched during the C4 era. A new C8 version is expected later this year, and the car you see here is the proof.
Which engine the new S6 uses remains to be seen. The previous car sported a more entry level tune on Audi's 4.0 TFSI V8. And, while we believe another 4.0-liter turbo is set for ...

As Audi moves closer to launch of its freshened B9 range of cars, more and more test mules of the many variants are being spied in locales known for prototype testing. This week, an updated B9.5 S4 Avant was caught cold weather testing.
Spoiler alert, the Audi S4 Avant isn't coming to America... at least based on any rumors we've ever heard. While there's been plenty of talk about A6 allroad and even RS 6, it is believed the B9 Avant is too far into lifecycle to make sense for importat...

The latest issue of quattro Magazine (Q2_2019) is on its way to Audi Club members. In it, they'll find an article about a B5 RS 4 Avant entitled Rennsport + Avant = Perfection. I proofread quattro which means reading every issue cover to cover...several several times. So imagine my surprise when this Avant showed up on Bring A Trailer.
I recognized it even before I knew what I was looking at. I won't spoil the article before you have a chance ...

You’ve heard the story: Exchange your old fashioned internal combustion engine for an electric one, and change the world. Turns out it’s more complicated than that. While driving an electric car generally saves on emissions, building one is way more energy-intensive than building a regular gasoline-based vehicle. It’s costly, energy-wise, to procure and process lithium for batteries, and to create complex lightweight materials, like carbon fiber, that help EVs...

When most Americans think of Australia and cars, they imagine wild machines powered by huge V8s and lots of tire smoke...or vehicles from the Mad Max film series. However, Audi Australia has gone a different route- a vehicle powered by a new hex cell source and it is called the b-tron. Here's the press release:
Audi’s new eco-model generates enormous international ‘buzz’ with a natural, energy-rich fuel source

Man, it's got to be hard being a test mule driver at car manufacturers today. Spy photographers were just the start, because now that Instagram has happened there is a cottage industry of photographers in factory towns such as Ingolstadt who are more than happy to snap some shots and feed their Instagram account. Take for instance @_audi__pics_ and these shots of the upcoming RS Q8.

One of the most anticipated events on Audi enthusiasts’ calendar has been the annual Audi of America Open House at its headquarters in Herndon, VA and is hosted by Audi Club North America. Having shared spy photos of the next Audi RS 6 Avant most recently, we also wanted to take the chance to share this other set of spy photos. In this case, the test mule was caught in Northern Europe cold-weather testing and the car itself is the upcoming C9 Audi RS 7 Sportback.
Given the Audi A7 is already on sale, the basic shape of the RS 7 is somewhat expected. Even still, the body panels are covered in the usual funkadelic vinyl wrap most mules wear... and they also appear to be shro...

Let's just say it's been a busy month for the development engineers at Audi Sport GmbH. Audi's skunkworks division was spied just days ago testing the RS 6 Avant, and now they've been nabbed testing what appears to be the next RS Q3. Two mules were tested in warm weather testing, one appearing to be painted Nardo Grey and the other in what is most likely the new Turbo Blue paint that's been coming from Audi on some of the latest model.
Though drivetrain details of the upcoming RS Q3 ar...

The other day, we featured spy photos of the next generation RS 6 Avant on the Nurburgring. Today, I was lucky enough to find a video from Misha Charoudin's YouTube channel. He was quite delighted and surprised to see the RS 6 Avant on the track as he wasn't expecting the track to be opened.
