Join us Saturday, October 10th for a fun drive to Nelson, WI. This event is FREE for Audi Club Members and their family and friends.
Important Note: Each attendee must pre-register and sign the electronic Event waiver in order for ACGL to comply with ACNA, lolcal, state, and federal requirements for COVID-19. Physical distancing, masks while indoors or in close proximity, and all other COVID-19 requirements will be in place for this event. If you will have any minors (age 17 or under) accompanying you, please email [email protected] for instructions on completing the required waiver for each minor. Also note that ACGL will not be able to provide any food or refreshments, so make sure to pack a cooler. Thank you!
Now that the important COVID stuff is out of the way, here’s the plan for the day:
Gather at 8:30, depart 9:00 am Walmart parking lot (9165 Cahill Ave, Inver Grove Heights). Look for Audi flags!
We will make a couple of stops along the way to regard the colors and vistas – and answer the call of nature.
95 miles, two hours of drive time to Nelson Cheese Factory (S237 WI-35, Nelson, WI)
The founders of the Nelson Cheese Factory made cheese for over 100 years. While they no longer make cheese, the offerings have been expanded to include cheese from Wisconsin and around the world as well as fine wines and a gourmet selection of food. Ice cream cones are a favorite with all visitors and the selection of sandwiches, soups and salads are fresh and delicious. Gift boxes are available for shipping seasonally.
The Village of Nelson is also home to the famous Stone Barn pizza restaurant (open 4 – 9 pm on Saturdays), J & J Barbeque, as well as a friendly Wisconsin bar and café.
At the end of your visit, backtrack or find your own route back home. There are no bad choices!
