4th Annual Schnitzel July 2024 Club Drive – Colorado Springs – July 27, 2024
For our July club tour we will meet up at Audi Denver and drive to Edelweiss restaurant in Colorado Springs. As an extra (optional), those who wish to can join the group and finish the day at the Penrose Heritage Museum at the Broadmoor. Our day will begin at Audi Denver – 6060 South Broadway, Littleton CO 80121. Participants in the tour should arrive by 8:30 am. There will be a mandatory driver’s meeting at 8:45 and the drive will depart at 9:00am.
We will be heading south through Deckers, then to Woodland Park, and to Hwy 24 into Colorado Springs. The plan will be to head to lunch as a group at noon to Edelweiss German Restaurant, 34 E. Ramona Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.

Reservations will be made for the group to accommodate the group to be able to sit together. All participants will be required to pay for their own food and beverages.
About Edelweiss German Restaurant: Originally from the Heidelberg region of Germany Helga Schnakenberg has been a part of the Edelweiss family since 1969. About the Penrose Heritage Museum: Participants will have the opportunity to explore the museum for 1 hour. Admission to the Museum is free. There is free and convenient parking available in the Broadmoor Parking Garage located next to the museum.
Total tour time is estimated at 3.5 hours and ~85 miles (~2.5 hours of drive time). If you’ve never been to the museum, plan on at least 1 additional hour to see all the things.
Schedule
- Depart 9am from Audi Denver
- Drive south via Hwy 285, 67 and 24 to Edelweiss in Colorado Springs
- Enjoy an authentic german meal with club members (save room for Black Forest cake!)
- Those that want to go to the Penrose museum will head west to the Broadmoor
- Those who wish to return are free to leave the tour after lunch
- Spend 1 hour+ at the museum
- Tour ends around 3pm from the museum. Return to home is on your own.
Please have your car gassed up, drinks, snacks, and restroom break completed so we can leave at 9:00. There will be restrooms at our starting location. A map will be provided of the route to every car.
