Spy Photo: Audi RS Q6 e-tron Hits the Nürburgring

We spied the hotter version of the Audi Q6, the RS Q6 once again, and this time during some quick laps around the Nürburgring. Our last sighting was during the winter test season so its been a while since the last time.

Visibly we can see the sportier looking front bumper compared to the more regular versions of the Q6. These prototypes also have the production lights as we can see revealing the split headlights up front together with the more conventional rear lights.

On the performance side, the Audi RS Q6 e-tron should come exclusively in a configuration packing more powerful and torquier front and rear motors, the largest battery pack, a stiffened suspension, lighter wheels, and grippier tires. With regenerative braking available, Audi might not need to go overboard on friction brakes, but it will still have bigger brakes as we can see on these prototypes. Big brakes and red calipers , typical RS details.

In figures we are expecting around 500-600 horsepower for the RS Q6 e-tron.

The Audi Q6 e-tron is developed together with the new fully electric Porsche Macan and with the Macan coming in several power stages it’s only natural for Audi to do the same. There is a possibility that we will also see a S Q6 e-tron later on as well.

With the Audi Q6 e-tron most likely debuting in 2023 instead of the planned late 2022 the RS Q6 e-tron buyers will have to wait one more year.
