A couple months ago, LEGO fan blogs had confirmed the toy brick manufacturer’s intent to build a scale version of Audi’s RS Q e-tron Dakar rally car. Model kit #42160 was listed as one of LEGO’s more extensive “Technic” kits. While details weren’t exactly right, we now have full details direct from the source. While not available yet, we now know the retail price will be $179.99, that it’ll be have remote control functionality and 914 pieces. Further photos and a product page have gone live on the Lego website.
Here’s what we know, as released from Lego.
Kids who love rally cars can put their skills to the test as they build this LEGO® Technic™ Audi RS Q e-tron 42160 model. As they build, they’ll gain an insight into the real-world electric car that Audi built to navigate the harsh desert conditions of the Dakar Rally. This model incorporates many realistic details, like the individual suspension on each of the car’s 4 wheels. It also features a new Technic wheel element created especially for this model to reflect the full-sized Audi’s wheel design.
