Our spy photographer has captured the Q5 Sportback again…this time turning some laps at the Nürburgring. Since the spy debut was not so long ago, the amount of camouflage hasn’t changed yet but we still have a pretty good thought on how it will look. The Q5 Sportback will look just as the recently facelifted Q5 but with a slooping and sportier looking roof. The technical parts of the Q5 Sportback will mirror those of the regular Q5 as well as the refreshed interior we saw revealed earlier this summer.
Following the Q3 Sportback and the e-tron Sportback, this will be the third SUV/crossover with the sleeker and coupe-ish Sportback body style in the line-up. Unless we also count the Q8 that’s only available in the sportier shape.
The Q5 Sportback is aimed against the BMW X4 and the Mercedes GLC Coupe but with both the BMW and Mercedes already having a lead on the markets, it could be a hard nut to crack.
