Our images last week of an Audi EV mule (likely next Q8 e-tron) testing with Porsche Macan E bodywork seemed to have inspired more questions than answers from our readers. For those asking whether that “IN” registered Macan E looking mule, we have some answers in the form of a likely Porsche mule with a different registration tag.
So what it is it? We believe it’s the Cayenne E, a next-generation Cayenne based on the same corporate PPE platform as the Macan E and Audi Q6 derivatives. Here though, it appears to be larger than both the Q6 and the Macan E, yet not as big as the upcoming and much rumored Porsche K1 SUV that will size in above the Cayenne.
Our spy photographers report there were two mules running on this day the photos were captured. They appear to have fully production bodywork (disguised by cladding) and fully production light fixtures.
