Find of the Day: Low Mile 2006 Audi TT 3.2 Special Edition

Back in 2006, Audi closed out Mk1 TT production with a special edition roadster. For TT enthusiasts, these are sought-after cars, as they paired some of the highest factory spec with the more iconic Mk1 body style. They don’t come up on the market often, particularly low mileage examples such as this one at DRIV3N Auto in Tucson, Arizona.

Just 99 examples were built, and all to the same spec. Each was painted Quartz Grey Metallic and featured the iconic amber red Baseball Glove optic leather interior. All were the highest 3.2 quattro spec that came only with S-tronic DSG for the USA. The “B5 RS 4” style wheels had machined faces to set them apart from other high-spec 3.2s sold in those years.

This certainly looks like an investment grade example. It’s covered a remarkably low 825 miles, which bestows it with an understandably high asking price of $32,800.

So, while new, is it worth over $32,000 for a Mk1 TT? Most TTs of this era tend to have high mileage or modifications that bring down the price. High mileage examples over 100,000 tend to come in under a third of the price of this car. However, a very clean 20,000 mile example transacted on Bring a Trailer for $34,000 back in February of 2022. That was probably viewed as one of the lowest mileage examples you’d ever find… at least before this one popped up. Then again, again, that was Bring a Trailer and at an inflated moment in the market.

That this car come sin slightly under that transaction price suggests it’s probably fairly priced. We’re guessing we’re not the only ones who think so, because in the 24 hours since this car popped up on our radar, the listing dealer added verbiage to its AutoTrader listing that suggested a deal may be pending. So, it may be sold… or it may not be. We decided to run it anyway just in case someone was seeking it and just in case that pending deal fell through.
