Concours in the Hills 2024

Fountain Hills comes alive every year with over 1,200 automobiles, ranging from cherished daily drivers to multimillion-dollar sports cars. This extravaganza, known as Concours in the Hills, isn’t just about horsepower and carbon fiber; it’s a celebration of community and giving back. Every rev of an engine contributes to a noble cause—the fundraiser for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Originally scheduled for the first Saturday in February, the weather forecast showed nothing but rain, so a decision was made to postpone it to February 18th. The date change had Audi Club Arizona canceling an event planned with Audi Arrowhead, but we are looking forward to rescheduling that.

As always, Audi Club Arizona starts planning and promoting this event in October. Past shows have sold out early, leaving out some members. To prevent that from happening, we make sure we give members multiple notifications by email, social media, text and word of mouth.
I brought my R8, joining a couple of other exotic car owners, to the local Fox station in downtown Phoenix to help promote the event. This included a female-owned Viper, a ’64 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupé and a Lamborghini Huracan STO.

All Audi owners registered, mostly Audi Club Arizona members, met early that morning in a nearby parking lot and drove onto the field and parked together. Members swung by the tent to enjoy coffee and donuts while watching other registered cars roll in.
Audi Club Arizona also held a raffle for a children’s ride-on Audi RS Q e-tron with funds generated going to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The resulting winner was excited to share it with her granddaughter.

The Audi Club booth this year was always busy, with chapter board members and other club members talking to thousands of spectators. Thanks to Audi Club North America, we had a drawing for a free 1-year club membership. The lucky winner is a young woman with a growing passion for cars and the car community. With all entries, those interested in the club were contacted and heard all about Audi Club Arizona.
This was the second year that the Audi Club Arizona had a potluck during the show. Members hung out under the much-needed shade from trees and tents and talked to those admiring the German brand that has brings us together.

To celebrate another year attending as a club, we had challenge coins made to gift to each
member that registered. These silver and gold two toned coins had the chapter logo on one side the Concours in the Hills logo, year and the Phoenix Children’s Hospital logo on the other side.
The event raised over $330,000 and attracted more than 400,000 spectators. Concours in the Hills isn’t merely a showcase of automotive excellence; it’s a testament to the power of passion, generosity and camaraderie that brings the community together for an amazing cause. We are looking forward to next year, increasing our attendance with members and their cars and helping raise more money for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Thank you to all who attended, donated, organized and volunteered.
We thank Brandon Locket at Optix Photography for shooting the event for us.
