Find of the Day: Euro-Spec V8 Audi S4 Avant with 6-Speed Manual Needs a New Home

For years we complained that Europe got all the really cool Audi wagons. But those great wagons of the past are now eligible for import into America. That means that what was once forbidden fruit like this S4 4.2 Avant can now be yours. All you need to do is offer more money than everyone else that wants one of these beauties.

1993 Audi S4 4.2 Avant

The car you see here is equipped with the 4.2L V8 rated at 276 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. That power gets fed to all four wheels thanks to Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system and a 6-speed manual transmission. Other highlights include leather seats with the fronts being heated and power adjustable, and 16-inch wheels. The only modifications to the car are a trailer hitch and an Alpine head unit.

The car currently shows about 170,700 kilometers on the odometer, which is roughly 106,100 miles. There are a few minor flaws disclosed in the auction listing. These include a hole in the driver’s seat, faulty dashboard pixels, a brake warning light, some corrosion on underbody components and wear on interior upholstery and touch points. Recent service includes a replaced engine oil cooler and fan clutch bearing and vent hose earlier this year. Last November the crankshaft and oil pump seal and crankshaft oil seal were replaced. The engine oil pan was also resealed at that time.
