Find of the Day: 2010 V10 Swapped A6 Avant

Ask any Audi enthusiast what their favorite body style is and most would say the Avant (totally unscientific fact not backed up by anything other than my own personal opinion as a wagon enthusiast). Before the arrival of the C8 RS 6 Avant and A6 allroad, the last big Avant we got in the States was the C6 3.0T V6. For many, that was good enough but to Audi Club member Jake (whom we affectionately call Jake from Kansas City), not so much. As with many stateside enthusiasts, he longed for more. The solution? Buy a C6 S6 sedan (which were imported) and swap out the 5.2 V10 into his Avant. After 2 years of fun and with life changes happening, Jake decided to sell his Avant since it was sitting and it deserved to be on the road. Here’s the ad:

2010 Audi A6 · Wagon · Driven 140,000 miles
2010 A6 to 2010 S6 V10 swap. Miltek exhaust. See full build on YouTube at QuattroBarn.

Recent engine out 50,000 mile service done at 40,000 miles. Torque converter failed so the shop did the service items while it was out. We didn’t like the way the trans fluid looked so I replaced the trans and torque converter at the same time. Build and maintenance work all performed at very reputable shops. I’m not a mechanic so I pay for the work.

Selling because I was put on a company car program and I already have two other side cars. If it sells great if it doesn’t great.

In addition to the engine swap and Milteck exhaust, the full interior was also swapped over and an alcantara headliner was installed. Other little bits were also replaced. All the hard work has already been done and it’s just awaiting its next owner…why not you? You can see the transformation of this A6 into an S6 by going to the QuattroBarn channel on YouTube. The price is $40,000 and you can find it HERE.
