e-tron Specific Activities Planned as Part of Audi Club Nationals 2019 Event

With Audi Club Nationals 2019 just a week away, Audi Club is pleased to confirm a mix of events sure to be of interest to e-tron owners or those seeking to learn more about electromobility life as it relates to the Audi brand.

The 2019 Audi Club Nationals event schedule is stacked with activities for Audi enthusiasts of all stripes. Based out of Lansdowne Resort & Spa in Leesburg, VA, this multi-day event features visits to popular tourist destinations such as the Capitol, the Washington Spy Museum, Annapolis, the Udvar Hazy Air & Space Museum and more. General car-focused events include scenic drives and a high-performance driving event at nearby Summit Point Raceway.

Specifically tailored for e-tron owners and enthusiasts are unique points of access to key players in the world of e-tron and electromobility at Audi. These include:

VIP Hosted Dinner (Friday Oct 18, 2019 at Lansdowne Resort)

This casual dinner is set up for prime networking with some very interesting guests. This dinner will include two tables specifically planned for e-tron interest. The first table will be hosted by Matt Mostafaei (Audi e-tron & Connected Vehicle Manager). The second will include Jacob Brown (Audi Public Relations Technology Specialist) and Wayne Killen (Infrastructure Planning & Business Development at Electrify America).

Other table hosts will also be of major interest, including the likes of Audi of America President Daniel Weissland, Audi Sport Le Mans winning driver Tom Kristensen, Audi Social Media manager Henry Fernandez and more.

TechTalks (Saturday, Oct 19, 2019 at Lansdowne Resort)

Part of Saturday programming that includes a car show and Oktoberfest lunch, the Tech Talks series of seminars are a new feature for Audi Club Nationals. With the proximity of Audi of America headquarters and also the many special guests planned, Audi Club took this opportunity to add informative seminars on key subjects Audi owners and enthusiasts are sure to enjoy.

The Tech Talks series will see two simultaneous 45-minute seminars taking place throughout the afternoon. Three seminars geared toward the vintage Audi hobby will take place inside the Lansdowne Auditorium, while three more geared toward modern Audi product will take place in walk-around fashion in a tent outside the hotel. One of these tech talks will specifically cover e-tron. The current schedule includes:

Tech Talk Session 1 (1:15 PM – 2:00 PM)

A: New Audi Model Walk-Around with Anthony Garbis, Audi of America Product Planner

B: Vintage Car Market Valuation with Hagerty Car Insurance Experts

Tech Talk Session 2 (2:15 PM – 3:00 PM)

A: Audi RS 3 LMS Walk-Around & Customer Racing with Audi Sport customer racers John Martin (NGP Racing) and Don Istook (RS Werkes)

B: Vintage Car Importation with Jamie Orr of Orchid Euro

Tech Talk Session 3 (3:15 PM – 4:00 PM)

A: Audi e-tron & Life with Electromobility with Mark Dahncke of Audi, Wayne Killen of Electrify America and George Achorn of Audi Club and e-tron owner
