Audi’s Title Count Grows in America, Asia, Italy and New Zealand

The Audi R8 LMS added six new GT2 and GT3 titles across four continents, while the Audi RS 3 LMS secured another championship. Together, these victories raise Audi Sport customer racing’s total title count to an impressive 580 since 2009.

GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS – Winning Streak Continues

Audi repeated its GT World Challenge Asia Silver Cup victory as Congfu Cheng and Yu Kuai clinched the 2025 title for FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom in Beijing. Cheng successfully defended his crown on home soil. The Uno Racing Team’s Rio and Shaun Thong secured third in the Silver class standings, while Bao Jinlong and Joel Eriksson earned an overall podium with the fastest lap of the race. Meanwhile, Tresor Attempto Racing added another title win in Italy.

Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo – More Titles in Italy

Arkin Aka and Ferdinando Geri’s team added another title in Italy, winning the Amateur Sprint Championship of the Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo. At Monza, Audi drivers Alberto Clementi Pisani and Marco Cassarà finished second in class, securing the crown with three wins and three runner-up finishes across four events—ending the season 14 points ahead of their Ferrari rival Han Huilin.

GT America Powered by AWS – Third Win of the Year

Memo Gidley closed the GT America powered by AWS season with his third win of the year at Indianapolis. Driving the Ski Autosports Audi R8 LMS, he took the lead early from pole-sitter George Kurtz and built a commanding 3.3-second margin by the finish. Despite missing the first two of eight rounds, Gidley still secured third place in the overall championship standings.

South Island Endurance Series – First Win of the Season

In the New Zealand South Island Endurance Series finale, Sam Fillmore and Jonny Reid claimed their first win of the season in the International Motorsport Audi R8 LMS at the Highlands circuit. Starting fifth, their smart tire strategy and skilled driving allowed them to overcome traffic, with Reid managing tires perfectly to fend off challenger Andrew Waite. Meanwhile, Steve Brooks and Brad Schumacher faced pit-stop issues, finishing eighth overall but still securing the Michelin Am Cup.

Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy – Title Runner-Up

In German club racing, Stefan Wieninger finished the season strong with Land-Motorsport, claiming the runner-up title in the Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy at the Nürburgring. Driving the Audi R8 LMS, he finished second in the first race and was later awarded victory in the second race after a penalty to the initial winners, marking his fourth win of the season.

International GT Open – Third Place

In the International GT Open, Christopher Haase and Simon Reicher battled for a title defense until the final race in Monza. After being moved from pole to seventh on the grid for exceeding track limits, they recovered to finish fourth, securing third place in the drivers’ standings. Their team, Eastalent Racing, also finished third overall. In the Pro-Am category, Czech drivers Libor Milota and Filip Salaquarda earned third place in the standings with their Audi R8 LMS.

Extreme Supercars Driven by Dunlop – Six Podiums

In the South African Extreme Supercars series, Audi R8 LMS drivers achieved six podiums during the fifth round at Zwartkops. Gianni Giannoccaro secured two second place finishes and one third in GT3 for Stradale Motorsport, while Paul Hill earned three third place finishes in Class A, placing him third in the championship standings.

GT America Powered by AWS – Third Success in America

CJ Moses claimed his third GT2 class victory in GT America powered by AWS, winning the finale at Indianapolis in the Audi R8 LMS GT2 and securing the overall class championship. His season also included two wins in Virginia and a second-place finish in Long Beach. Audi took the GT2 manufacturer title, while GMG Racing earned the team championship.

Audi R8 LMS GT4 Highlights

SRO GT Cup – Podium Finish

Level Motorsports achieved a podium in the third round of the SRO GT Cup Asian GT4 series. On Beijing’s street circuit, Chuang Chi Shun finished third overall in the first race in his Audi R8 LMS GT4, ranking as the second-best among eight amateur drivers.

 Audi RS 3 LMS (TCR) Highlights

Coppa Italia Turismo – Victory in Italy

Audi customers dominated the sixth round of the Coppa Italia Turismo at Misano. Koray Kamiloglu won both sprints in his Audi RS 3 LMS, finishing the season second overall. In the DSG category, Giacomo Orioli claimed the title with a fourth-place finish in the final race, while Temel Camlidag finished second. Overall, the Audi RS 3 LMS secured one overall and seven class titles in Italy this year, with Nicolas Taylor recently winning TCR Italy, marking four TCR titles in two years.

TCR Asia – Double Podiums

In the fifth round of TCR Asia at Inje Speedium, Revx Racing secured two podiums. Chien Shang Chang finished third in both the second and third races in his Audi RS 3 LMS, maintaining a 22-point lead over Honda’s Diego Moran in the championship standings.

Super Taikyu Series – Second Place Finish

In the Japanese Super Taikyu Series sixth round at Okayama, Audi Team Show Apex secured a podium with their RS 3 LMS. Drivers Genki Nishimura, Shigetomo Shimono, and Takahiro Kimura finished second in the TCR class in the three-hour race.

Supercar Challenge – Two Class Wins

At the Supercar Challenge finale in the Netherlands, Audi customer team Ferry Monster Autosport claimed two class wins. Lorenzo van Riet dominated the Supersport Division in the Audi RS 3 LMS at Assen, winning both the second and third races by over 15 seconds.
