Audi’s Legendary Sport quattro S1 Gets the Hot Wheels RLC Treatment

Some cars transcend motorsport and become legends. The 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1 is one of them. Famous for dominating the brutal Group B rally era with its turbocharged five-cylinder engine, short-wheelbase chassis, and unmistakable box-flared styling, the Sport quattro S1 remains one of the most iconic Audis ever built. Now, fans have a chance to add one to their collection, albeit in 1:64 scale.

Hot Wheels has unveiled a new Red Line Club (RLC) Exclusive 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1, celebrating the legendary rally machine with a premium collector-grade release. Finished in eye-catching Spectraflame “Otto Blue” paint, the die-cast model wears Audi Team-inspired rally graphics along with a special “Redline Rally Club” livery that pays tribute to the original competition car.

Model Details

As expected from an RLC model, the details go well beyond what you’ll find on a standard Hot Wheels release. The miniature S1 features a rally-style auxiliary light pod, an opening hood that reveals detailed engine components, and a matte black die-cast metal chassis complete with chrome engine and drivetrain detailing. It also rides on painted silver Real Riders 10-spoke wheels, while a light smoke-tinted windshield and black interior with a white roll cage complete the authentic rally look.

The model is packaged in a blister card housed inside a Kar Keepers clamshell case, making it ideal for collectors who prefer to display their cars while keeping them protected.

The real Sport quattro S1 earned its place in automotive history by conquering some of the world’s toughest rally stages, launching over crests, sliding through mud, and carving its way across snow and gravel with legendary quattro all-wheel drive. That heritage continues to make it one of the most celebrated cars in Audi’s history, and this latest Hot Wheels release captures much of that spirit in miniature form.

The Hot Wheels Red Line Club Exclusive 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1 is limited to two per customer and is scheduled to ship on or before September 11, 2026. Pricing for RLC members is $28.00. Given the popularity of both the Audi Sport quattro S1 and Red Line Club exclusives, collectors will likely want to act quickly before this rally legend disappears into private collections.
