Audi Prepares Entry into Formula 1 with Adidas Partnership
Audi is making a strong statement ahead of its Formula 1 debut next year, unveiling plans for a distinctive red-and-black livery and securing a major partnership with German sportswear powerhouse Adidas, according to reports from Bild-Zeitung.
The German daily newspaper reveals that Adidas, which recently became a key sponsor for Mercedes, is set to broaden its F1 presence by signing a second high-profile deal with Audi ahead of the 2026 season. The agreement is reportedly finalized and an official announcement is expected soon.
This partnership will see Germany’s Nico Hulkenberg sporting Adidas-branded gear as he races for the Audi-backed Sauber team, which will transition to full Audi works status starting in 2026. While Adidas supports both teams, sources suggest Mercedes is receiving a slightly larger sponsorship, €30 million versus €25 million for Audi in 2025.
On the design front, Bild indicates Audi’s F1 car will prominently feature red and black hues, marking a bold visual identity for the new German entrant. Paddock insiders say these colors will define the team’s look next season. As Audi prepares to write its next chapter in motorsport history, all eyes are on the team’s potential for a golden future in Formula 1.
