Audi Has Unfinished Business Under the Lights in Singapore

The Audi Revolut F1 Team has spent the last two race weekends knocking on the door of the points. Twice, that door was slammed shut in the closing laps. Now Audi heads under the lights in Singapore hoping the third and final stop of Formula 1’s Asian triple-header finally delivers the result the team has been chasing.
Audi came close to scoring in both Baku and Sepang, only to miss out on the top 10 at the end of each race. In Malaysia, Nico Hülkenberg had been running ninth before the late-race chaos ultimately left him 11th.
“We have faced challenges in both Baku and Sepang, missing out on points the final lap on both occasions, and that goes to show you have to deliver and execute a perfect weekend if you want to come away with something,” said Audi Racing Director Allan McNish. Finding that perfect weekend won’t be easy in Singapore.
The Marina Bay Street Circuit is already one of the most demanding stops on the Formula 1 calendar, but this year’s event adds another complication. Singapore hosts the final Sprint weekend of the 2026 season, leaving teams with less practice time to dial in their cars before the competitive sessions begin. On the bright side, that also means Audi gets two opportunities to score.
Gabriel Bortoleto said the team has been consistently fighting around the points recently and hopes to put everything together for both Saturday’s Sprint and Sunday’s Grand Prix. Hülkenberg is also optimistic after seeing encouraging signs during the previous two races.
Singapore will be an especially visible weekend for Audi beyond the racetrack. The team is bringing a special livery and race suits to the event while hosting activities around the city involving food, fashion, entertainment, community sport and public race viewing.
All of that should make Audi difficult to miss in Singapore. But after coming painfully close in Azerbaijan and Malaysia, the result that matters most will happen on the circuit. Audi has demonstrated it can fight for points. Under the lights at Marina Bay, it’s time to finally bring some home.
