Audi Customer Racing Shines Globally with Victories and Podiums Across GT and TCR Series

Audi customer racing teams delivered standout performances across the globe this month, with major wins and podium finishes in GT4, GT3, GT2, and TCR categories. Leading the way, Team Speedcar dominated the GT4 European Series with a double victory at Misano, putting their drivers on track to secure the championship early. Audi teams also celebrated podiums in GT World Challenge events across Europe, Asia, and America, while the brand’s TCR teams collected trophies in Canada, Italy, and the Baltics. The racing community also paused to remember extreme athlete and former Audi racer Felix Baumgartner, who passed away in a tragic paragliding accident.

GT4 Highlights

GT4 European Series – Speedcar scores double win at Misano with Audi R8 LMS GT4
Team Speedcar’s Audi R8 LMS GT4 entries swept the weekend in Italy, with Eric Trémoulet and Fabien Michal taking both Pro-Am class wins and pole. Teammates Christophe Hamon and Michael Blanchemain did the same in the Am class. Both pairings now hold commanding leads in their respective class championships heading into the final two rounds.

Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy – Class wins for Audi at the Nürburgring
In Germany, Jürgen Hemker piloted his Audi R8 LMS GT4 to two STT class wins during the Nürburgring weekend, continuing a strong campaign in the highly competitive national touring series.

GT3 Victories and Podiums

GT World Challenge Europe – Top-five finish for Tresor Attempto Racing at Misano
In Sprint Cup action, the #40 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II from Tresor Attempto Racing, driven by Ricardo Feller and Mattia Drudi, claimed a fourth-place overall finish in Race 2. Meanwhile, Saintéloc Racing’s Silver Cup entry finished third in class in Race 1.

GT World Challenge Asia – Am class win and overall podium for FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom
At Twin Ring Motegi, Cheng Congfu and Sun Jingzu delivered a strong weekend in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. The duo finished second overall in Race 2 and claimed their second Am class win of the season.

GT America – GT3 return for CJ Moses and GT2 double podium for GMG Racing
CJ Moses was back in GT3 action in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II for SKI Autosports, while Jason Bell drove GMG Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT2 to two podiums in the GT2 class.

International GT Open – Saintéloc earns Pro-Am podium at Paul Ricard
Audi Sport driver Max Hofer and Tom van Rompuy brought Saintéloc Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT3 home third in Race 2 in the Pro-Am class, adding valuable points in the team’s campaign.

Aurum 1006 km – Audi R8 LMS GT3 wins endurance race in Lithuania
Team Bio-Circle & HSG by SWAG claimed overall victory at the prestigious 1006 km endurance race in Palanga, Lithuania, with their Audi R8 LMS GT3 — a major highlight of the event’s 24th edition.

GT2 Series Success

GT America – Jason Bell secures two podiums in Nashville with Audi R8 LMS GT2
Competing in the GT2 class, Jason Bell delivered back-to-back podiums in downtown Nashville in GMG Racing’s Audi R8 LMS GT2, helping him stay firmly in the championship hunt.

GT2 European Series – LP Racing finishes third overall at Portimão
The Audi R8 LMS GT2 shared by Stéphane Ratel and Luca Pirri finished third overall and second in the Am class in Race 1 at Portimão, Portugal, continuing a solid season for LP Racing in GT2 competition.

TCR Class Competition

IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge – Audi RS 3 LMS finishes second at Road America
In a hard-fought TCR class race, the #17 JDC-Miller MotorSports Audi RS 3 LMS finished second after leading much of the event. The #15 sister car followed closely in fourth. Both cars demonstrated strong pace and strategic execution on the demanding Wisconsin road course.

Coppa Italia Turismo – Audi teams earn wins and podiums at Imola
BF Motorsport’s Audi RS 3 LMS took a class win in Race 1 and a second-place finish in Race 2. Next Motorsport and Planet Motorsport also fielded Audi RS 3 LMS entries, adding to Audi’s presence in the Italian touring car series.

Aurum 1006 km – Audi RS 3 LMS claims TCR class podium in Lithuania
The Statomenas by DMK Racing Team secured a third-place class finish in the TCR category, making it two Audi podiums at the Palanga endurance classic across GT3 and TCR classes.

In Memoriam: Felix Baumgartner
Felix Baumgartner, the world-renowned extreme sportsman and former Audi customer racing driver, died in a paragliding accident at age 55. Baumgartner famously competed in the Audi R8 LMS with Phoenix Racing and Audi race experience at the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the Bathurst 12 Hour. He was also known globally for his record-breaking Red Bull Stratos jump from the stratosphere in 2012. Audi Sport extends its condolences to his loved ones.
