Audi Club Auction Watch: 04.03.2025

Hello again Audi aficionados! Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Typically each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.
The belle of last week’s Auction Watch, fräulein Lisa the 1992 Coupe 2.8 E, generated 63 comments and sold for $28k. As for this week, apologies for a shorter Auction Watch edition than usual, my 5-month old 32” monitor died (imagine the sound of an electrical snap) about 5 days ago. The wee little back-up monitor I’m using makes it very hard to open the multiple windows needed to produce a quality product. I know, first world problems… now to summarize this week’s auction listings.
If you’re a fan of televised auctions, Mecum Houston begins today but has only three Audis on the docket. The best is Lot F153, a black over black, debadged 2009 R8 Coupe. It has 39k miles, an R tronic gearbox, and what look like matte red vinyl side blades. Here’s the link: Mecum Houston. It crosses the block on Friday the 4th.
Looking now at on-line auction listings, it’s TT week with four on offer, two Mark I Roadsters, a low-mileage Mark III TT RS and a high mileage Mark III Coupe. There’s also an unmissable 2021 Vegas Yellow R8 V10 with rear wheel drive. In the rarely seen color department there is a 2014 A5 Coupe in Shiraz Red.
Not shown below but listed on BaT are a Japanese-spec 2005 A8 W12 in Vancouver, Canada, that’s not eligible for US-import yet, and a low-mileage 2014 R8 Spyder. And also on c&b are a 2015 S4, a 2002 Allroad, a 2022 e-tron GT in Ascari Blue, a 2010 A5 3.2 with a 6-speed manual swap, a 2010 Nogaro Blue S4 that needs some work, and lastly a 2013 S4 that has a few mods. Bring a Trailer – 2015 Q7. This Glacier White over black Prestige trim-level SUV sold on BaT for $28,150 on 2/18/2025 but is now back, again with no reserve, because the buyer failed to complete the purchase. Bid quickly, the auction ends today at 5:41 PM EDT.
2020 Audi TT RS (7,300 Miles)

No Reserve. Often times we see low-mileage cars with little service history, that’s not the case here. The clean Carfax report shows four services and the tires were even replaced in August 2024. The Nardo Gray paint wears a full XPEL covering and is contrasted by a Black Optic package. The black interior has a Technology package and WeatherTech floor mats; the car is also equipped with a Dynamic package. The 2.5L I5 is Audi rated at 394HP/354 lb-ft and pairs well with a 7-speed S tronic.
2006 Audi TT Roadster 3.2 Special Edition (49,000 Miles)

This is the third Special Edition we’ve had on Auction Watch. Look the other two up on cars & bids here. It’s 1 of 99 editions produced to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the first Tourist Trophy race on the Isle of Man. Hence the special glovebox badge. The color is Light Silver metallic with a black soft top over the popular Amber Red leather seats with Baseball Optic stitching. The 3.2L VR6 engine is factory rated at 250HP/236 lb-ft and spins a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch transaxle. The engine mounts were replaced in December 2022, the A/C compressor was replaced in February 2024, and the fuel tank was replaced in April 2024. The Carfax report is clean.
2001 Audi TT Roadster 225 (39,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This droptop is finished in Amulet Red with a power-retractable black soft top. That’s over an Ebony interior with leather seats and an Audi Concert cassette stereo with Bose sound. The seller states the instrument cluster has been replaced, see listing comments. The turbocharged 1.8L I4 (225HP/207 lb-ft) had its timing belt and water pump replaced but no details on when. The Carfax is clean but lists an open recall #69CJ Driver Front Airbag Inflator. See also picture #37 in the listing’s photo gallery for nasty damage on the front bumper. Lastly, the tires have 2013 and 2014 date codes.
2021 Audi R8 V10 Coupe RWD (13,000 Miles)

We haven’t seen too many rear-wheel drive R8s on Auction Watch… yet, but this one can’t help but be seen. On the exterior, the Vegas Yellow paint wears XPEL Stealth ppf, has Mythos Black side blades, black tinted turn signal lenses, and the windows are tinted. The black interior has Premium and Carbon Interior packages, leather sport seats, and Parking System Plus. The 5.2L V10 is Audi rated at 532HP/398 lb-ft and connects to a 7-speed S tronic to drive the rear wheels. Carfax reports one owner and no accidents or damage.
2016 Audi TT Coupe (108,000 Miles)

Attention Eastern Canada Chapter, this Tango Red coupe is in Cambridge, Ontario. But for potential US buyers, see the listing’s comment section for the import process; this is a Canadian-spec car. The black interior has Rotor Gray Nappa leather seats and B&O sound. It’s also equipped with S Line Sport, Navigation and Driver Comfort packages. A 2.0L turbocharged I4, Audi rated at 220HP/258 lb-ft, mates to a 6-speed S tronic to provide the go power. The Carfax report lists six owners, no accidents or damage, but see pictures 18 through 27 for numerous flaws, chips, etc. You might also ask about the windshield condition; it looks very pitted in pictures 27 and 70.
2014 Audi A5 Coupe (93,000 Miles)

No Reserve. I don’t think the photos in this listing bring out the best in the Shiraz Red metallic paint color. The black interior has leather Sport seats, wood trim, an Audi Drive Select package, Audi MMI infotainment with Navigation Plus, and B&O sound. The turbocharged 2.0L I4 (220HP/258 lb-ft) had boost sensor and PCV valve replacement in July 2021 (per Carfax) along with camshaft seal and water pump replacement in March 2022. Carfax reports no accidents or damage and a good service history by owner #2.
2022 Audi SQ5 Sportback (9,000 Miles)

This Mythos Black metallic hot SUV is the Sportback model with the tapered roofline. The black interior has leather/Dynamica seats, Carbon Atlas inlays, a Convenience package, and a panoramic sunroof. Power comes from a 3.0L turbocharged V6 (349HP/369 lb-ft) and an 8-speed Tiptronic and quattro complete the drivetrain. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but the seller reports that the front bumper was replaced in October 2023 after it was backed into by another vehicle.
