Hello again Audi aficionados!  Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you.  We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids.  Typically each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights and include a few pictures and a link to the listing.  Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.

Welcome to the first Auction Watch of 2025 on our awesome new website!  But sorry, there will be a 3-week gap until the next Auction Watch while my wife and I are off to the Rolex 24-Hour race and then belated Christmas celebrations with family on the way back north.  So until the next edition, you need to check out this week’s variety of listings below.  Twenty-nine model years separate the oldest and newest listings: a 1991 200 20-valve Turbo with mods by 2Bennett and two from 2020, an R8 Coupe Performance model and an eye-catching RS 3.  Choice listings from the years in between are a low-mileage 2004 TT Coupe with the 3.2L VR6 under its hood, and a 2011 R8 Coupe with a 4.2L V8 behind the cabin.  If full-on performance is not what you seek, there’s a very clean looking 2003 A4 you might like.  Again, welcome to a new year and thanks for reading!

Bring a Trailer – 1996 RS 2 Avant.  This silver long roof previously bid to $58k on BaT in January 2024 and apparently hasn’t sold since.  The same dealer is relisting it, this time with no reserve.

2001 Audi S4 (119,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends mid-PM today!  This veteran B5 is showing its age but we’ve seen worse.  The color is Light Silver metallic outside, Onyx inside with worn leather seats, a leather-wrapped S sport steering wheel, sunroof, vent-mounted boost gauge, and Bose sound plus a trunk-mounted Kicker subwoofer.  The 2.7L twin-turbo V6, rated at 250HP/258 lb-ft when new, wears a HyperBoost HX diverter valve, exhales into a Milltek cat-back exhaust, and connects to a 6-speed manual.  Please read the listing’s Known Flaws.  Carfax reports no accidents or damage.

1991 Audi 200 20V Turbo (96,000)

This is 1 of about 350 20-valve Turbo models imported to the US market in 1991 and the third or fourth one we’ve seen on Auction Watch.  It’s finished in Zermatt Silver over an interior with Nautical Blue leather seats, wood trim, a sunroof, and Bose sound with cassette.  The UFO front brake rotors are converted to a conventional front setup with four-piston Brembo calipers over 330mm rotors.  H&R lowering springs and Koni dampers were installed in 1999.  A leaking CV joint is noted at the front-right wheel hub.  The 2.2L 3B I5 was retrofitted in 1998 with chips for boost and fueling as well as a 2.5-bar MAP sensor, a K26/27 hybrid turbo, and an RS2 exhaust.  This work was done by 2Bennett Audimotive of Davis, CA.  Silicone boost hoses were added in 2003.  The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage, but also a sparse service history and a 10-year gap from 2015 to 2025. 

2011 Audi R8 Coupe (45,000 Miles)

This Audi halo car is painted Ice Silver metallic with Apollo Silver side blades.  That’s over a black interior with leather seats, Audi Parking System Plus with a rearview camera, and B&O sound.  The 4.2L V8 is factory rated at 420HP/317 lb-ft and pairs with a 6-speed R tronic.  Carfax reports only two owners, no accidents/damage, and a good service history.

2008 Audi RS 4 (55,000 Miles)

This Daytona Gray pearl fast sedan has contrasting Silver Nappa leather seats, carbon fiber trim, Audi Navigation Plus, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and a glovebox-mounted 6-CD changer with Bose sound.  The Dynamic Ride Control is still in place.  Drivetrain: a 4.2L V8 (420HP/317 lb-ft) spins a 6-speed manual.  Carfax reports accident damage to the right side in November 2016 which the seller notes resulted in the rear bumper cover and the right rear quarter panel being refinished.  It also lists a mileage inconsistency in September 2024, please read the comments for an explanation.  The vehicle doesn’t have a title and is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.

2004 Audi TT Coupe 3.2 (22,000 Miles)

No Reserve.  This low-mileage Brilliant Black Mark I TT is equipped with a 3.2L VR6 V6 engine Audi rated at 250HP/236 lb-ft which spins a 6-speed manual.  The Ebony interior has navigation, an Audi Concert CD stereo with a CD changer and Bose sound, and apparently none of the common TT issues.  It is fitted with lowering springs.  The Carfax report is as clean as the car.  The tires were replaced in April 2021.

2020 Audi R8 Performance Coupe (4,000 Miles)

This Canadian market coupe was imported into the States in October 2020.  It’s finished in Florett Silver metallic with Carbon Sigma side blades over a black interior featuring Nappa leather seats with Express Red stitching, Carbon Sigma high-gloss trim, Audi MMI navigation, and B&O sound.  The Performance package adds carbon fiber rear wing, diffuser, interior trim, mirror caps, and side skirts, and most importantly, an Audi-rated 562HP/406 lb-ft 5.2L V10.  A 7-speed S tronic and quattro drive complete the drivetrain.  Carfax reports no accidents or damage.

2020 Audi TT RS (2,400 Miles)

This Kyalami Green color is a two-edged sword.  It looks great with the black rings and badges, but we’ve seen other examples struggle to sell on Auction Watch.  On the plus side, it has low-mileage and the only mods are ppf on the front end and tinted windows.  The black interior has carbon fiber-backed Sport front seats and B&O sound.  The 2.5L I5 is Audi rated at 394HP/354 lb-ft, wears a sport exhaust, and pairs well with a 7-speed S tronic.  The Carfax report is clean.

2003 Audi A4 (65,000 Miles)

No Reserve.  This near-classic sedan is painted in popular Light Silver metallic over a black interior with Ebony leather seats, black trim, a sunroof, and an Audi Symphony CD/cassette stereo.  Motivation comes from a turbocharged 1.8L I4 (170HP/166 lb-ft) that’s sent through a Torsen center diff to a 5-speed automatic.  Please read the listing for items serviced in the past few years.  Carfax reports no accidents or damage, only two owners, and a long service history.
