Video of the Day: The Grand Tour – A Scandi Flick

The lads are back! After almost a year, The Grand Tour has kicked off their 5th season with A Scandi Flick – a romp through Norway, Sweden, and Finland. They were to choose cars that were their favorite rally cars as the adventure would take them through the Arctic Circle. Hammond chose the legendary 2003 Subaru Impreza STi V-Limited edition in the classic blue with gold wheels. Captain Slow showed up in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII GSR in yellow (which matches his jacket). Jezza…well as Clarkson tends to do with bending the rules to his liking, arrived in a 2007 Audi RS 4. He states that the 4.2 V8 is in the top 3 greatest engines ever made and the B7 RS 4 is a gem.

What happens over the next 6 days and 600 miles is your typical TGT adventure. However, there is a pretty big crash early in the episode and it wasn’t Hammond as one would have guessed. It was very scary and the driver/car involved were hurt.

There are drives through a secret submarine base, pranks including the RS 4 being encased in ice, housing fiascos, a wrong turn onto a ski slope, a car falling into a lake, and general mayhem wherever the lads go. Will they make it in time? Will all of them (including original cars) make it? Will someone be forced to drive the backup rally car, in this case, a Volvo 345?
