Unitronic JDC-Miller Seek Redemption at Road America

With four races remaining in the 2024 Michelin Pilot Challenge Season, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team heads to Road America seeking redemption after a disappointing result at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in July, where, despite 90 minutes of terrific driving by Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor, the #17 Audi lost drive with 30 minutes to go, ultimately leaving the car stranded and forcing the team to settle for P8 after leading the majority of the race.

“Obviously the last race didn’t go as we were hoping but there’s no place better for us to try to earn some redemption and get back to our winning ways than Road America. It’s a track that every driver loves and I’m sure the team will give us a quick car to fight up front with. This weekend is also more or less a home race for a lot of the guys and myself who live in Minnesota and I know we will have a lot of support there cheering us on. I can’t wait to get back in the #17 Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports car and continue our push for the championship in just a few days!” said an enthusiastic Chris Miller.

CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS

After 6 races in the 2024 season, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team currently sits at the top of the TCR leaderboard with a 150-point lead over the nearest Hyundai. The team will look to extend its lead at the challenging 4-mile, 14-turn track known as “America’s National Park of Speed” this weekend.

STRONG AT ROAD AMERICA

Historically, the team has had success at Road America, where in 2023, Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor showed great speed throughout the weekend, allowing the Gen2 Audi TCR to stretch its legs and ultimately finish in P2. In 2021, the team would finish in P5 near the front of the pack with the previous generation Audi TCR machine. This season, however, the #17 Audi will be facing additional challenges, as it was hit with another Balance of Performance adjustment, adding another 10kg and 20mm of additional ride height.
