It seems like the whole automotive world wants to drag against the newest RS car (like the RS 3 vs BMW M2 or the RS 3 vs Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG) so I should start a series entitled the RS vs the World.
However in this video from CAR Magazine, it's the RS 3 against its big brother, the R8 V10 Spyder. In their annual Performance Shootout, they put these two Audi Sport products head to head just to see what happens.
We all know what the forgone ...

Though she left Audi Sport several years ago, Audi Sport's three-time Le Mans winning lead engineer Leena Gade remains a favorite amongst Audi enthusiasts. Gade was the first ever female to win Le Mans as lead engineer, and now she'll be the first woman to take the same role at an Indy Car team.
Ms. Gade's first win with Audi Sport in 2011 was a memorable one. Her driver team's two teammate cars had gone out in spectacular crashes, leaving just Gade and...

In the mid-Eighties, Audi was reeling from an unintended-acceleration scandal. To restore its image, the company entered a 200 Quattro sedan in Trans-Am for 1988. It was a flag-bearer for the company’s signature road-car technologies, turbocharging and all-wheel drive. Audi had two FIA Group B rallying titles with the Quattro but little in the way of road-racing experience. Group B hero Walter Röhrl was tapped to drive alongside Le Mans winne...

An upsetting report from Automobile Magazine earlier today stated that Audi will phase out the R8 in 2020 when the next generation Lamborghini Huracán arrives. The R8 e-tron and the 1,000hp Scorpion supercar are also shelved. But there is good news with talk of the range topping RS Q8 so not all is doom and gloom.
