The New ABT SQ5: Enhanced Power Meets Distinct Design

With a 20 percent boost in power the new ABT Power S performance upgrade gives the latest Audi SQ5 the performance to back up its aggressive looks.

The 2025 Audi SQ5 already received a modest power bump of 13 horsepower compared to the 2024 model. With 362 horsepower on tap and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic the sporty SUV can scoot to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. Nobody would call that slow. Well, maybe owners of the new 440-horsepower ABT SQ5 would. 

Performance Upgrades

The 3.0L TFSI engine has been tuned to provide 78 horsepower more than the stock SQ5 can muster. Torque also increases from 406 pound-feet to 443 pound-feet. Performance figures have not been released but expect to arrive at 60 mph a few ticks faster than anyone behind the wheel of a stock 2025 Audi SQ5.

If you are already impressed, just wait, because the ABT SQ5 is far more than just an engine tune. ABT suspension springs lower the vehicle by up to 45 mm. For those with an SQ5 and air suspension, the package is available without the new suspension springs. The lowered ride height combined with new 22-inch ABT EVO wheels in glossy black gives the ABT SQ5 a perfect stance. Those 22-inch wheels are wrapped with 255/35-ZR22 tires.

Style Upgrades

Further enhancing the already attractive Audi SQ5 is a comprehensive aerodynamics kit from ABT. This includes a front spoiler, a rear apron insert and a rear spoiler including aerodynamic trim. Hop inside and you will notice subtle touches such as exclusive ABT floor mats and ABT door sill lighting.

Thanks to the extra power, most other road users will only see the back of the ABT SQ5. And those folks will know what just passed them thanks to four 4-inch diameter tailpipes made of matt black stainless steel.

“The SQ5 is already an outstanding vehicle as standard, as demonstrated by the great popularity of its predecessor and the current model. With our package, we aim to emphasize its sporty character and offer our customers enhanced driving dynamics and individuality,” says Hans-Jürgen Abt, CEO of the ABT Group.

ABT seemed to hit the mark with this package, but enhanced vehicle performance is never free. The complete package costs 20,000 euros or roughly $23,000. The package without the suspension springs is a bit cheaper at 19,700 euros or about $22,600. Installation and painting are extra. At that point you are knocking on the door of SQ8 money. But the ABT SQ5 is far more unique and can likely match the performance of the SQ8. All in a tidier package.
