You can feel the excitement in the air…the anticipation…the potential for disappointment. Audi USA has been teasing us with #WeVantAvants social media blitz for the last several days including this video:
So what does all this mean? Will we finally see another Avant reaching the States soon? Today is the day…or so the internet tells me (& the end of the above video!). What will it be? The buzz from our social media sites are praying for an RS 6 Avant but there’s another vehicle in play which you can already reserve on Audi Canada’s website: the 2020 A6 allroad.
The States haven’t seen an A6 based allroad since the C5. We’ve gazed across the pond to see Europe getting the bigger allroad while we’ve only had the B8.5/B9 allroad. Europe is getting a TDI engine in theirs but Canada’s will be equipped with a 3.0 TFSI turbo V6 hybrid. It will have an air suspension as standard equipment much like our C5 allroad as well as the technology you can expect from a modern Audi.
So what does all this mean for the States? Since Canada is part of Audi’s North American business, can we take this as a confirmation for the US also? We sure hope so because #WeVantAvants.
