The ID. Buzz is a cool electric van from Volkswagen that’s available in both regular and long-wheelbase versions but so far it has been missing a more powerful and sportier version. That will soon change as we spotted a prototype for the hotter GTX version running some laps around the Nürburgring. We can see this prototype is a long-wheelbase version giving hopes for the US customers that the GTX will also reach the US market.
The biggest visual changes is the new front bumper that has a completely different design compared to its less powerful family members. It also looks like it has a slightly lower suspension setting and some wider wheels. Power will come from two electric motors, one on each axle giving the GTX a total output of 335 horsepower as already confirmed by Volkswagen.
The interior will also get some GTX tweaks with unique details. Also expect some special exterior colors to match.
A debut is most likely set for mid-2024.
