Spy Photo: Lamborghini Urus PHEV

We have a batch of new photos showing a prototype for the Lamborghini Urus PHEV and this time we get a clearer look at the all new front end. Why Lamborghini is changing the front so much for an PHEV model is still a mystery but they will have their reason.

As we can see all of the front is changed: the headlights, the bumper and even the engine hood is much longer than on the regular Urus models.

We can also see that the interior is fully covered.

For now we have to assume that this is the plug-in hybrid version because of the charger port on the left rear fender but also because that’s the only new Urus version that will still come.

As we have speculated before , Lamborghini will share the plug-in hybrid technology with Porsche. At this point we don’t know what power output they will use, if they go equal with Porsche or slightly more power. Some rumors suggest the Urus PHEV will get as much as 820 horsepower but in that case we think there will be two versions. One with the 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor giving a total output of around 675 horsepower and one with the monster power of 820 hp. Only time will tell.

But that’s where this prototype pops up again, could it be that the Super 820hp Urus PHEV will get a different face in order to show the world that this is something really different and fast?

A debut could come in late 2023 as a 2024 model.
