Spy Photo: Lamborghini Urus PHEV Spied for the First Time

Its not just the successor to the Aventador that currently being tested by the Lamborghini technicians but also the plug-in hybrid version of the Urus.

Seen here for the very first time testing together with some Porsche PHEV versions of the all new Panamera and the facelifted Cayenne, the Urus PHEV is given away by the charger port in the left rear fender. Zoom in and you will also find a sticker showing the hybrid indication on the front window.

As we have speculated before, Lamborghini will share the plug-in hybrid technology with Porsche so therefore it also makes sense to test together. At this point we don’t know what power output they will use, if they are equal with Porsche or slightly more power. Some rumors suggest the Urus PHEV will get as much as 820 horsepower but in that case we think there will be two versions. One with the 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor giving a total output of around 675 horsepower and one with the monster power of 820 hp. Only time will tell.

Given the fact that Lamborghini will reveal two new versions of the Urus this year with most likely the facelifted Urus and a more powerful “Performante” version, we don’t expect the PHEV version of the Urus to be revealed in 2022 so you will have to wait for 2023 for that.
