Overall Victory for Audi R8 LMS in Italian Endurance Racing

Audi’s customer teams once again collected numerous trophies in overall and class rankings in worldwide competitions with their GT sports cars and touring cars in the first half of May. Fans of off-road sport will get their money’s worth in a new documentary film about the Dakar Rally.

Audi R8 LMS GT3
Audi customer teams had a strong start to the 2025 season across multiple GT series worldwide. At the Campionato Italiano GT Endurance opener in Misano, Tresor Attempto Racing took overall victory with Riccardo Cazzaniga, Rocco Mazzola, and Fabio Rauer in the Audi R8 LMS. Team Haas RT finished third overall and won the Pro-Am class, climbing from 16th on the grid. Audi Sport Italia was also in podium contention before an incident ended their race.

In Australia’s GT World Challenge, Wolfbrook Team MPC secured second place in Race 2 at Sydney, while Kelso Electrical Team MPC followed closely in third. Renee Gracie earned her best qualifying result to date and won the amateur class in both races. Additional class wins went to Matt Stoupas and Gary Higgon in the Trophy category.

In Europe, Tresor Attempto Racing claimed two podiums in the Gold and Silver Cups at Brands Hatch. Alex Aka and Ezequiel Perez Companc narrowly missed a class win in the Silver Cup, finishing second. Saintéloc Racing also earned a podium with Lorens Lecertua and Ivan Klymenko.

In Asia, FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom placed third in the Silver category at Mandalika despite pit stop penalties. Uno Racing Team followed up with a second-place finish in Race 2, gaining 12 positions during the race.

In the Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy at Hockenheim, Team Up2Race scored two third-place finishes with drivers Pierre Lemmerz and Alexander Kroker. Land-Motorsport’s Stefan Wieninger was runner-up in Race 2. Meanwhile, in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, Team équipe vitesse won the SP9 Am class with a dominant two-lap lead.

Audi RS 3 LMS (TCR)
Audi dominated the TCR Italy season opener at Misano with an 11-car lineup, claiming a 1-2-3-4 finish in Race 1. Defending champion Nicolas Taylor won from pole for PMA Motorsport, followed by Matteo Poloni, Pietro Alessi, and Nicola Baldan. Taylor and Alessi led the Under-25 classification, while Denis Babuin won the Master class. Nicola Baldan won Race 2 from pole (reverse grid), with Alessi and Taylor again strong in Under-25. Babuin claimed another Master win.

In the DSG division, Gustavo Sandrucci was the top Audi driver in Race 1, winning the Master class. In Race 2, Mattia Lancelotti finished second overall and won Under-25. Carlotta Fedeli topped the women’s classification in both sprints, with Seda Kaçan placing second and winning the rookie class in Race 2.

Audi teams also succeeded in the Coppa Italia Turismo at Mugello. Fulvio Ferri and Adriano Visdomini each took an overall win in the Audi RS 3 LMS. In the DSG class, victories went to Giacomo Orioli and Kamil Cat, with multiple podiums for Audi teams.

Internationally, Møller Bil Motorsport won the TCR class at Nürburgring with a two-lap lead. In TCR Mexico, Carlo Zesati took two wins for Zesati Racing. In TCR China, Audi teams recorded several podiums and wins, with the 326 Racing Team and Delta Artek Racing Team finishing strongly across both the main and Challenge competitions. A total of 11 RS 3 LMS entries competed at Ningbo.

Audi R8 LMS GT4
In the opening round of the Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy, Team Up2Race achieved two podiums with the Audi R8 LMS GT4. Jürgen Hemker finished second in Class 3 in Race 1 and won the class in Race 2, continuing Audi’s strong presence across club racing.
