Audi Club Lone Star Expands into West Texas with First Lubbock Event

Audi Club Lone Star recently held the first West Texas event on Monday, March 19, 2018, in Lubbock, TX organized by ACLS member Richard Madrid.

From Richard:

“Our Audi Club meeting was a big success!  The staff at Cantina Laredo (same shopping center as Alamo Theater) took great care of our members and guests and we’re planning on meeting there again Monday April 2nd from 4:30 to 6:30.  We established some excellent venues for drive outs and possible future trips which include Concho Christmas Celebration in San Angelo and a planned stay at Hotel Garza in Post followed by a drive out to Aspermont to visit Old Stonewall County Courthouse (Rayner, Texas)!  More to come about that,  as it is the original site selected by Hollywood to make the movie GIANT.  Because we ARE GROWING  the club, we all decided to hold the drawing for free oil change by Lubepro over until our next meeting!  For those that have an Audi or high performance car, you know the prize is worth over $100.00 in value.

We have a couple of tech sessions on the horizon,  and a couple of 1 day drive outs (out and back)  plus a 2 day, 1 night drive out to Alamogordo (space museum, ZOO and White Sands)  and come back thru Roswell thru the UFO Museum,  date to be announced,  get your camera ready for that.

At the next meeting we will have dates for WTX Autocross events and make a decision for our planned trip to Aspermont and stay at Hotel Garza!”

This is only the first of many exciting events to come for ACLS members in West Texas.  For more information, please email us at [email protected].
