Well I’ll start right here…

My first Audi was a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. I fell in love with that car. It drove and handled like a dream. Only problem was it was the CVT transmission that seemed to only give Audi problems. The car always had issues and was never happy. Well I ended up wrecking it into a ditch and it was totaled by the insurance company. In a way it was a blessing. The transmission was getting worse and I didn’t care for a front wheel drive car. I wanted the real Audi Quattro experience. So the car was totaled and I was able to start again. This time I found the same 2004 Audi a4 1.8T except it was a 6 speed manual. So I started there! Oh boy, how fun it was.

I was on Audizine and met a few people. One was “texasboy21” which ended up being a good friend, Barrett Lanier. He talked to me about an APR ECU upgrade. I decided to go for it at one time and oh boy, I was hooked! The pull from that turbo gave me a high like no other.

Well after a few months I got a head gasket issue and didn’t have much funds. I decided to do the job myself. Now the only thing I’ve ever done before this was an air filter and oil change.

I did the job and it ran perfectly after. Only problem was power. I wanted more and more. I became addicted. Now after swapping out the majority of the parts on the car, it’s sitting at 482hp on a 2L block, pushing the car to 3 times what it came stock. I love it and still want more. I have to say I’ve fallen in love with this Audi and won’t ever let go!
