On the occasion of the Trento Sports Festival, the Brand of the four rings presents the limited edition model Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar in national preview and confirms its commitment in the world of sports performance with the delivery of the Audi fleet to the athletes of the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI).

A celebration that marks the start of the new racing season and honors the champions who achieved the best placings last season, providing them with an Audi fleet that ranges from the Audi A6 Avant plug-in hybrid to the RS 6 Avant mild-hybrid, to which is added.

Audi RS 4 Avant, symbol of the Audi Sport range, leader in the high-performance segment. A pool of cars synonymous with sportiness, performance and versatility of use for the FISI athletes that will accompany them in their travels of the busy schedule of training and competitions. Among others, the Alpine skiers and Olympic champions Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia, the biathlete Lisa Vittozzi and the Italian Dominik Paris, with 22 victories in the World Cup.

Strong with a solid sharing of values, the relationship between Audi and FISI began in 2007 and the partnership continues also for the current year. The bond between Audi and winter sports has, in fact, been a 17-year distinguishing link between the activities of the four-ringed brand, making it one of the cornerstones of the brand’s assets, consistent with the sportiness that Audi expresses in the world of motorsport and on the road through advanced technologies, in a continuous search for the best result.

Confirming the central role of sports competitions in arousing emotion and participation, in addition to being the chosen terrain for the development of the technical solutions of the future, in Trento Piazza Duomo hosts the electric prototype Audi RS Q e-tron, winner of the 2024 Dakar Rally, and the Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar, the road car inspired by the most difficult rally raid in the world.

For over 40 years, in fact, the four-ringed brand has been committed at the highest levels to testing cutting-edge technologies in view of series production. Among these, the quattro drive, an Audi technological icon that became famous throughout the world thanks to its successes in the World Rally Championship in the 1980s, the TFSI engine, which made its debut on the track in 2001 at Le Mans and is now adopted by almost all the ranges of the four rings, and the TDI technology, the brand’s best seller that has become increasingly efficient and high-performance thanks to its commitment to endurance.

The Dakar confirmed Audi’s pioneering approach to competitions, as it was the stage for the introduction of electric propulsion with a range extender, a technology never used before in such an extreme situation, which favors the transfer of hi-tech solutions to the benefit of the full electric range. This is how the Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar was born. Inspired by the rally raid of the same name, the car, produced in a limited edition of 99 units, can count on a significantly raised trim and finishes that

The technical base derived from the Audi Q8 55 e-tron quattro, characterized by a maximum power of 408 HP and electric quattro all-wheel drive, is accompanied by all-terrain tires and generous approach, breakover and exit angles, to the advantage of off-road performance.

For Audi, technology driving sustainable progress cannot transcend emotions. And innovation and emotion represent the winning combination to overcome any challenge in the sporting and industrial fields. Like the one that the House of the four rings will face from 2026 with the Audi debut in Formula 1 of a hi-tech engine characterized by a high level of electrification compared to today’s standard and the use of innovative sustainable fuels.
