The Audi Revolut F1 Team shows its commitment to winning by signing 17-year-old British driving star Freddie Slater to the Audi Driver Development Program. Slater becomes the first official member of the program.

The British racer’s signing represents the first tangible move in Audi’s plan to build a sustainable talent pipeline ahead of its full works entry into the FIA Formula One World Championship. Widely regarded as one of motorsport’s brightest young prospects, Slater will compete in the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Trident Motorsport, backed by the guidance and resources of Audi’s development program. His résumé already reads like that of a future star, with championship wins and race victories across nearly every category he’s entered—proof of the speed, consistency, and competitive edge Audi is looking to develop.

Slater’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. He dominated international karting, capturing both the CIK-FIA Karting World and European Championships, before making a seamless jump to single-seaters. From there, he claimed titles in UAE Formula 4 and Italian F4, then capped his progression with an impressive Formula Regional European campaign, earning multiple wins, Rookie of the Year honors, and the overall championship.
