This past month there were luncheons in Pensacola and Jacksonville, as well as Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville. Pensacola attended Cars and Coffees in their respective regions. Over the next few weeks, there are several events in the Emerald Coast Region. Check their section for the details.
ACFL was invited to participate in Euro Tripper put on by Euro Tripper Promotions for the first time at Jet Blue Park in Fort Myers on the 8th of February. This year the weather was perfect to raise funds and the proceeds went to Brooke’s Legacy Animal Rescue. Brooke Ashley Miller passed away in a tragic car accident. The rescue was created by her mother to give animals a second chance that Brooke never had. Grab yourself a box of tissues, napkins, or whatever you use that is absorbent, visit the about us page at http://www.brookeslegacyanimalrescue.org/, and plan on attending next year to support this or another worthy cause.
Euro Tripper had several classes of cars competing for the top awards, the ‘Mutts Nuts’ section and winners were given a custom made thank you trophy on a drive-on stage. Twenty-six different vendors and some food trucks were present, along with a professional BMX team putting on shows using volunteers from the crowd in some of their tricks. We promoted the Audi Club North AmericaSweepstakes with loaner cars from Audi Fort Myers. They sent an RS 5 Coupé and an e-tron pulled from the showroom floor in Galaxy Blue Metallic, along with a few shirts donated to the club. The e-tron received a lot of attention from the crowd and my second time driving one and getting to exhibit it to the public, was an incredible experience.
Lastly, I would like to thank Paul Barney and Euro Tripper Promotions for the opportunity to support this worthy cause, David Forbes of Audi Fort Myersfor the vehicles and Thiago Zalewski for meeting us Saturday morning early to pick them up for the show, Bob Greving, Bobby Hopp, and cflaudigroup for help with the setup and breakdown.
Audi Club Florida License Plate Holders
If you reside in the First Coast region and would like to purchase one last few of our new ACFL license plate holders, give me a shout. They are $35 each. These frames are hand-wrapped in Austin, TX using premium vinyl over stainless steel. The quality and craftsmanship is top-shelf. We can meet up and do the transaction with cash, check, or PayPal Friends and Family to [email protected]. If you are not local to me, the cost will be $40 including shipping and handling the same payment methods as above and I will get it sent to you by mail. Pictures below and a link is below the pictures so you can examine in detail the quality.
We are trying to expand regional coverage, but need your help!
As we start this year, we are looking for leadership in the following areas:
Space Coast Region – (Cape Canaveral to Fort Myers)
Platinum Coast Region (Naples to Fort Meyers)
Gator Region – Gainesville Area
Many people have emailed me personally and through the national office wondering why there is not something in their area. I tell them assistance is required to help get things going locally. It is our desire to unite the state and have meets within an hour drive of your location at least quarterly.
We are looking for some people who have the ambition to lead and desire to start something long term, helping arrange places to meet for lunch, activities, attend local car shows and coffee events, and other social activities. If you would like to volunteer and help organize a successful regional club, please contact me for details and we will discuss making it happen.

Emerald Coast Region – Panhandle
Emerald Coast Region – ACFL cruised west and crossed state lines to attend Mobile Bay’s C&C in February. It was our second visit to Alabama and it did not disappoint. We had a mix of old and new faces and capped it off with a great lunch. Special thanks to Matt McGraw for arranging our lunch venue. The view and food were amazing!
Locally, we had a cruise in dinner on scenic Pensacola Beach as February’s Pensacola C&C was canceled. We had 19 in attendance and got to catch up on all our Audi talk.
March events:
Our annual Britton Hill Run is on for Saturday March 7th, an all-day driving event of back road fun and a visit to the highest point in Florida to join the “High-Pointers” Club. We will be communicating via two-way radios on this run, as we will be in remote areas without cell phone coverage. More details and updates will be posted on our Facebook page. ACNA’s former President and Audi enthusiast Bud Dannemiller is making the trek down from Kentucky to attend. He will be in his S5 “Jaeger”.
Audi Pensacola is a proud sponsor of The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama Friday, March 20th – Sunday, March 22nd. We will be helping at the Audi booth throughout the weekend, mainly on Saturday, and invite all to come by and check out all the fun toys that will be on display. The show runs from 10 am – 6 pm Friday and Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm Sunday.

April 4th we will be attending Emerald Coast Motorsports and RaceChip America’s Open house, car show and dyno day at their new location in Ft Walton Beach. Specials on RaceChip tuning products and $20 dyno pulls will be available all day long with raffle and prize giveaways. Food vendors will also be on site.
