This past month there were luncheons in Pensacola and Daytona, as well as Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Pensacola, attended Cars and Coffees in their respective regions. The ACFL Board of Directors Luncheon at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in Daytona Beach, FL January 4th at 11:00 am with a trip to the track afterward to observe Roar Before the 24. Everyone walked out of the luncheon with some swag thanks to our Prestige Partners Audi Clearwater and Audi Jacksonville. Testing at the track was dampened by rainy weather, but still cleared up for some good times for visiting the Audi crews in attendance practicing and some were throwing rooster tails on the track.
This event is a great time to meet the crews and see the cars up close. The above picture is of a race car owned by Steve Dinan’s CarBahn Motorsports. Steve was present last year and spent nearly an hour talking to our group.
Quattro de Mayo
Quattro de Mayo (QDM) at The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Georgia April 30-May 3 filled up fast. The event Registration lasted just over 17 minutes this year. Many returning faces and some new ones will be attending this year. If you have never been, take the time to read the FAQs and ask questions of those who have. This event is put on by Audi Club Georgia.

Upcoming Event:
Jacksonville Auto Show at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center: February 14, 15 & 16. We need some volunteers to help. We plan to have one of our group member’s vehicle displayed at the auto show. AudiJax is onboard with providing a service loaner if the person needs a car provided age requirements are met. The car will be displayed for the duration of the show, approximately two days. A poll is currently underway on the JaxRings Facebook page.
February Luncheon
The First Coast Region Monthly Luncheon after the Automotive Addict Cars and Coffee at the Avenues Mall 8 February will be at BJ’s Brew house 15022 Max Leggett Parkway Jacksonville, FL 32218, at 11:00 am. Come on out and join us for good fellowship and inspiration.

Emerald Coast Region-ACFL closed out January with a record number of 19 Audi’s in attendance at Pensacola C&C. We had a mix of old and new faces, some of which were showing off their newest rings for the first time. We even had a Nissan 370z Nismo and a Lamborghini Murcielago tag along. Appreciate everyone who got up early and made the trip, it was well worth it!
We will be taking a break from Destin’s C&C as they work out a new location. Here’s our February events:
Mobile Bay C&C Saturday February 8th
Meet up at Audi Pensacola at 7 am for a brief drivers meeting and sign waivers. We’ll roll out at 7:15 to rendezvous with our Mobile Bay area members at Buc-ee’s at 7:45. We will be going to brunch after the event. You are encouraged to bring two-way radios as it will be our preferred way to communicate.

Down the road…
Our annual Britton Hill Run is scheduled for March 7th, an all-day driving event of back road fun and a visit to the highest point in Florida to join the “High-Pointers” Club. We will be communicating via two-way radios on this run as we’ll be in remote areas without cell phone coverage. More details and updates will be posted on our Facebook page.
We will have 5 cars representing our region at Quattro de Mayo (QDM) this year. All registration spots were gone in record time. Congratulations to Alex Bendit, Michael Chang, Christopher Haskins, and Jack Vorozheykin. Brad and I are excited to share the road with you. It’s going to be an epic Audi adventure!
Audi Pensacola will be hosting the next Car Clinic on a Saturday with some new surprises in store. More details to follow once the date is set.

Due to Euro Tripper 7 in Fort Myers, attendance may be light for the euro crowd. The show will go on, at 8202 Mills Drive Miami, FL 33183 at Casavana Cuban Cuisine. If you are not coming to Euro Tripper 7, come out and have a good time, and the regulars will be back next month as well as other Audi owners also. With that said, our Gold Coast South Florida crew will depart E3 Customs around lunchtime Friday going to Fort Myers, Fl, for the Euro Tripper BBQ Friday evening.
