Maybe you’ve seen RM Sotheby’s messaging the heck out of The White Collection, an obscenely big collection of mainly white Porsches by a Houston collector that will now be sold off. And while that’s all well and good, we also happened to notice a theme taking shape this week in our “Audi” search notification list from auction sites Bring A Trailer and Cars & Bids. If RM has a White Collection, we’re pretty sure that these two auction sites have the beginnings of a powerfully cool Black Collection of Audi models. Consider the following.
2001 Audi RS 4 Avant at Cars & Bids
These cars are hard to find in the USA because, while they are importable and officially on NHTSA’s list of importable vehicles, they’re not yet old enough for the 20-year rule that makes importation considerably cheaper and easier to perform. In as much, this federalized B5 RS 4 gets you ahead of the curve. MORE HERE.
1995 Audi RS2 Avant at Bring a Trailer
Unlike the B5 RS 4, the RS2 is old enough to import. This one isn’t necessarily museum level mileage with a calculated 119K on the odometer, but it’s clean and handsome. Plus, the RS2 is an icon. MORE HERE.

2008 Audi R8 Coupe at Bring a Trailer
On one hand it’s an R-tronic and the gated manuals tend to be more desirable. On the other hand, it’s a launch year and mileage is low at just 26,000 miles. MORE HERE.

Audi built just 60 R8 competitions for the USA. Though still not a manual, this later version has the V10, twin clutch DSG transmission and is a very desirable spec. And, if aftermarket wheels aren’t your bag, it comes with the original wheels as well. MORE HERE.
