A couple of months ago, we featured Paul Walker’s 2000 Audi S4 as a Find of the Future Day. It was a FOTFD because we knew it was going up for auction but just didn’t know when. Now we do.

When we were researching for the earlier article, we couldn’t find any photos of Paul’s S4 but we did find a video from Matt Farah/The Smoking Tire which showed the S4 briefly. At the time of the filming, they were asked not to mention the owners’ names of the vehicles in the warehouse but after Paul’s and Roger Rodas’ deaths, they published the names. Quoted from the video description: Though we originally respected their privacy when they asked not to say who owned the cars, as we filmed this in november of 2012, it makes no sense now not to say the cars all belonged to Paul Walker and Roger Rodas, two good friends of The Smoking Tire who tragically lost their lives on 11/30/13, and the world is officially a worse off place without them. Paul and Roger will be dearly missed by everyone who ever got to see their smiles, exchange words, or spend time with them at the track. RIP Roger and Paul.

Skip to 4:56 to see the S4 for the first time. As you can see, the S4 seems to be in good shape with no damage to the roof but in the auction photos, this stood out:

So sometime between November 2012 when the video was recorded to now, something happened. I really don’t think it’s going to affect the final price of the car. It’s going to be interesting to see what this S4 will go for when Barrett-Jackson bangs the gavel. To own a B5 S4 can be joyful (or painful) but to own one that was Paul Walker’s? Priceless. We’ll be watching and I hope you will join us. You can find the listing HERE.
