Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love the Volkswagen DoKa and adore the Audi 4.2 V8 so when I stumbled across this, I almost…fainted. I spent a lot of time behind the wheel of Audi of America’s fully restored 1984 Volkswagen Audi collection DoKa. It was a ground up restoration including the original 1.9 four cylinder with @ 83hp. Driving that DoKa though the mountains of California was exciting to say the least. Add the aerodynamics of a cliff wall and let’s say it wasn’t exactly fast. Enter the beast. Stunning and apparently not an uncommon conversion as I’ve found several VW DoKa V8s. I may have found this one in action though I’m not certain:

Anyway, you definitely won’t find this at your local Cars and Coffee here. DoKas are very scarce in the States and to have one with an Audi 4.2? Yeah…center of attention.
