The transformation began with a Canadian-spec B7 Audi A4 Quattro equipped with the desirable six-speed manual transmission. Rather than simply chopping off the roof, the builder used a Smyth Performance conversion kit designed specifically for the B7 chassis. The result is a surprisingly cohesive ute that looks as though it could have rolled out of Audi’s design studio as a limited-production concept.

Conversion Details

The conversion goes well beyond cosmetic changes. According to the seller, the body structure has been reinforced to maintain rigidity, while the pickup bed features front drains, integrated tie-down points, custom lighting, and a sliding rear window. A remote-operated Craftec tonneau cover adds practicality and security, making the truck bed as functional as it is eye-catching.

The rest of the car has received equal attention. Finished in a striking Sonoma Green repaint, the Audi also features an RS4-style grille, lowered suspension, aftermarket exhaust, custom aluminum short shifter, Apple CarPlay-compatible touchscreen, backup camera, and illuminated Audi logos. The combination gives the ute an unmistakably custom look while retaining much of the premium feel that made the B7 A4 so popular.
