Find of the Day: Early 2000 Audi RS 4 Avant on Bring a Trailer
One of the most iconic wagons of the early 2000s — the B5-generation Audi RS 4 Avant — is now live on Bring a Trailer, and this example stands out for more than just its condition and modifications.
Finished in Avus Silver Pearl Effect over Onyx Valcona leather, this 2000 RS 4 Avant is believed to be one of the earliest customer-delivered examples ever built, carrying chassis number 003 and a March 2000 production date. Originally delivered to Switzerland, the car remained there until it was imported to the U.S. in early 2025.
Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 developed by Cosworth, paired with a six-speed manual and quattro all-wheel drive. The current owner had the car thoroughly serviced at Pacific German in Laguna Hills, CA, with both turbochargers replaced, along with a number of maintenance items — including engine mounts sourced from Audi Tradition. The ECU has been tuned with a GIAC Stage One calibration for 91-octane use, and the ride is lowered on KW V3 coilovers with 19″ Apex wheels.
Beyond the rare build number, this RS 4 is largely stock, tastefully upgraded, and properly sorted. The sale includes the factory wheels, winter tires, service records, and a clean Montana title.
As the U.S. reaches the 25-year import eligibility mark for early RS 4s, this one makes a strong case for being both collectible and driver-focused. Bidding ends Tuesday, July 8.
