Find of the Day: ABT Turns the RS7 Up to 11 With the Ultra-Rare RS7-R And You Can Own It

A 2022 Audi RS7 is a performance dream car for many. However, this 1 of 125 2022 Audi RS7-R ABT is a dream car, upgraded. And it will be crossing the block this week at the Mecum Kissimmee auction.

The ABT RS7-R package makes its presence felt with some extra visual drama, with carbon fiber taking center stage. Up front, ABT’s grille frame add-on and aggressive front lip proudly wear RS7-R branding, giving the car a far more menacing presence. Around back, the ABT rear spoiler and rear skirt add-on complete the transformation, adding both style and attitude. Rounding out the package are ABT High Performance HR 22-inch wheels, filling the arches and underscoring the RS7-R’s ultra-exclusive, high-performance look.

The visual drama continues on the inside as well as this car wears an Audi Exclusive Crimson Red interior. The perfect place to relax while you listen to the Burmester 3D audio sound system. But you don’t think this car is all about looks and a fancy stereo, do you?

Under the hood, the RS7-R gets the full ABT Power treatment, transforming the already potent RS7 into something far more serious. In North American spec, output jumps from a stout 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque to an impressive 690 horsepower and 649 pound-feet, delivering a noticeable step up in both straight-line punch and overall urgency. And there is plenty of life left in that engine as the odometer shows just over 11,585 miles.

The full ABT RS7-R kit was installed in Germany by ABT, and it was a $50,000 package. So, naturally the RS7-R will command a premium over a standard 2022 RS7. The pre-auction estimate for this car is $160,000 – $180,000. However, you can easily spec a new RS7 to $150K+ with options. And it will still be down on power and far less exclusive than the ABT RS7-R.
