This 2012 Audi R8 GT coupe is #231 of 333 examples produced, only 90 of which were designated for the US. It is powered by a 5.2-liter FSI V10 that drives all four wheels through a six-speed R-tronic automated transaxle and is finished in Phantom Black Pearl over black leather and Alcantara upholstery. The car is equipped with the Enhanced R8 GT Leather Package, 19″ Y-design wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, a carbon-fiber fixed rear wing, LED headlights, heated power-adjustable seats, matte carbon-fiber interior and engine compartment trim, automatic climate control, the Audi Navigation System Plus, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. The current owner acquired the car in 2022 and it now has 12k miles. This R8 GT is being offered on dealer consignment with a clean Carfax report and a Wisconsin title.

The GT featured a lighter windshield when compared with the standard R8 as well as a carbon-fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, fixed rear wing, dive planes, and mirror caps. This example is finished in Phantom Black Pearl and features carbon-fiber Sigma side blades, LED headlights, tinted LED taillights, front and rear parking sensors, and dual integrated exhaust outlets. A matte-finish paint protection film has been applied to the body. Imperfections in the film are shown in photos below along with chips in the windshield, and a scratch in the lower rear bumper cover.

The 19″ Y-design wheels are mounted with 235/35 front and 305/30 rear Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires. The GT came with a manually adjustable coilover suspension in place of the magnetorheological dampers offered on the standard R8, and braking is handled by carbon-ceramic discs clamped by red-finished eight- and four-piston calipers.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable seats trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inserts and Crimson Red stitching along with matching door panel inserts and matte carbon-fiber trim. Amenities include R8 GT-branded floor mats, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a touchscreen infotainment system with Audi Navigation System Plus, a CD stereo, and automatic climate control. The aluminum shift knob is accented by R8 GT lettering and identifies this car as #231 of 333 examples produced.

The Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel features paddle shifters and frames a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 12k miles. The Carfax report shows a mileage entry of 15k in April 2023.

The 5.2-liter FSI V10 features dry-sump lubrication and was factory rated at 560 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque in GT specification. The car was optioned with Audi Exclusive carbon-fiber matte engine compartment trim which also included engine compartment lighting and matte aluminum gas springs.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed R-tronic automated transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Utah, Idaho, Texas, Montana, Florida, and Wisconsin.

There is currently a lien on the car, and the owner’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the next owner.

So what made the GT a GT? It was lighter, it sits lower, power was increased to 560hp, carbon ceramic brakes were bigger just to name a few. The howl of that 5.2l V10 is heaven. As of the time of publishing, this R8 GT has 5 days left and the bidding is up to $30,000. This will definitely go up as the time gets shorter.
