The Mk1 R8 V8 – such a statement when it burst upon the scene and has endeared itself to many. While some lived a comfortable life of a garage queen, only taken out on weekends, others were driven. Meet Igor; he belongs in the latter group. He and his Audi Club owner made a drive to the 2018 Audi Club National Event in Tacoma, WA in the company of other Audi Club members (The Conga Line). Big deal? Well, it is when you live on the southern Atlantic coast of Florida and drive perpendicular across the country for a 4-day event. Here’s the ad:

This 2010 Audi R8 coupe was purchased new by the seller from Audi West Palm Beach in Florida and now has 60k miles. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter FSI V8 that drives all four wheels through a replacement six-speed manual transaxle, and modifications include a STaSIS high-performance port and flow kit, a STaSIS Signature exhaust system, AP Racing disc brakes, JRZ RS Pro coilovers, an Umbrella Auto Design adjustable ride height system, carbon-fiber front and rear spoilers, an INNO roof box with suction-cup mounts, a carbon-fiber shift knob, a BlackVue dash cam, and an Escort radar detector. The car is finished in Phantom Black Pearl Effect over black leather upholstery and was factory equipped with 19” alloy wheels, a speed-activated rear spoiler, the Premium and Leather packages, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. This R8 is now offered with two additional sets of wheels, service records, two key sets, a window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Phantom Black Pearl Effect and features a carbon-fiber front splitter and rear spoiler as well as a carbon fiber-covered grille insert. Exterior details include LED lighting, Oxygen Silver side blades, R8 V10-style side skirts, tinted windows, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a rearview camera, quad exhaust outlets, and an INNO roof box with a custom Lyfe Motorsport roof rack and suction-cup mounts. Paint protection film was applied to the body in 2016, and it was replaced on the front bumper, A-pillars, and doors in June 2021. A ceramic coating was also applied at that time. The front tow hook threads are worn, and a tow strap is installed in its place. Rock chips on the front fascia along with imperfections on the front splitter and paint protection film are shown in the gallery below.

Polished 19″ double-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 235/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires showing 2019 date codes. Stopping power is provided by yellow powder-coated calipers over AP Racing J-hook two-piece rotors at each corner, and USP Motorsports stainless-steel brake lines were installed in May 2017. Service in June 2018 included installing JRZ RS Pro 3 coilovers, Ferodo brake pads, an Umbrella Auto Design adjustable ride height system, and a GMG Racing bump-steer correction kit. The front and rear wheel bearings and hubs were replaced in February 2020, and the rear stabilizer bar links were replaced in November 2020.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable bucket seats trimmed in black leather upholstery along with matching door panel inserts and carbon-fiber interior trim. Amenities include the Leather Package, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, Coco Sisal floor mats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and navigation. Controls for a built-in Escort Passport 9500CI radar and laser detector are mounted in the center stack, and a BlackVue dash camera connected to a Power Magic Pro hardwire kit is mounted ahead of the rearview mirror. The upholstery on the doors is sagging, and nicks in the dashboard and a dent in the driver’s side door sill are shown in the gallery.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 60k miles, all of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter FSI V8 features dry-sump lubrication and was modified in 2010 with a STaSIS High-Performance Port & Flow kit that includes a ported intake manifold finished in red, a stainless-steel high-flow exhaust system, and revised engine management software. The seller’s maintenance logs, service records, and a July 2010 dyno sheet are shown in the gallery. The left and right engine mounts were replaced in 2018, and service in 2020 included replacing the auxiliary water pump, flushing the fuel injectors, and carbon cleaning the intake valves. The serpentine belt was replaced in November 2021, the oil was changed in August 2022, and K&N air filters were installed in September 2022. Reservoirs for the rear coilovers are mounted in the engine compartment, and the mesh cover to the left of the engine is dented.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and all-wheel drive. The transmission, gaskets, throw-out bearing, and clutch were replaced in October 2018. The shifter assembly and shift cables were replaced in 2021.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Audi of Rochester Hills, Michigan, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $130,150.

Two additional sets of factory double-spoke wheels are included in the sale. The silver-finished wheels shown above are shod in 235/35 front and 295/30 rear Hoosier R7 tires, and a black-finished set is wrapped in 245/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida.

You can see why this R8 is affectionally known as Igor with the INNO roof box attached. Some say that it’s dumb to have a box on an R8 but as you can see, the frunk is occupied with the Umbrella Auto Design adjustable ride height system so you need some place for your luggage. David has loved Igor but now it’s time for the next adventure. What will it be? If you buy this manual Mk1 R8, you can have your own adventure with your friends forming your own conga line. At the time of publishing, the highest bid is $45,500 and the auction ends in 5 days. You can find Igor HERE.
