Find of the Day: 2003 Mugello Blue RS 6

There are executive cars and then there are executive muscle cars. The C5 RS 6 falls into the second category. The first RS model (and only RS 6) to hit the shores of the States, it made quite an impact. Motor Trend said: “The RS 6 spools up with so little drama, it doesn’t feel as quick as it is. Until you look down and realize you’re going 20 mph faster than you thought you were–and 50 mph faster than your mother would want you to.”

This particular RS 6 is listed on Craigslist in Seattle. What is it about Seattle and uber Audis? Our FOTD earlier this month, 2006 A6 Avant to S6 Avant Conversion, was also from Seattle.

Painted in Mugello Blue, it’s combined with an ebony interior. According to the seller, documentation from Audi of America says it is 1 of 80 sold that year. The paint has been ceramic coated by IGL so it’s protected from the elements. While there aren’t any close up shots of the interior, it looks clean aside from some scratches on the driver door sill.

While this RS 6 may have 146,000 miles on the odometer, the seller claims the engine and transmission were pulled at 142,000 and both were worked on including the all important timing/water pump job. It also boasts may upgrades including AMD Dyno tune, AMDTransmission tune, KW V2 coilovers, a custom exhaust, and 20 inch BBS CH-R wheels.
