Find of the Day: 2002 Audi S6 Avant – A Classic V8 Power Wagon 

This 2002 Audi S6 Avant now listed on Cars & Bids may not be as quick as a brand-new RS 6 Avant, but it is every bit as cool. It is also far less expensive and features classic Audi styling.

Are you an enthusiast that misses the “good old days” of Audi? Well, this C5 Audi S6 Avant may scratch right where you itch. It comes with the lovely 4.2L naturally aspirated V8 rated at 340 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The power is sent to the quattro all-wheel drive system via a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Vehicle Condition

While this is not a showroom fresh example, it has only 63,000 original miles and modifications are limited to 17-inch Enkei wheels and a hard-wired radar detector. The car comes with a clean, accident-free Carfax report. It is really solid example of what is actually a fairly rare car. Fewer than 1,000 S6s were sold in the U.S. for 2002.

This car is nicely spec’d with a classic Silver Metallic exterior, leather and Alcantara upholstery, heated front and rear seats, Bose sound, a power sunroof and more. It has also received a good deal of service recently. Engine oil and filter changed, serpentine belt, fuel filter, drive belt idler pulley, and cabin air filter replaced in June 2025. The serpentine belt and drive belt tensioner were replaced in July and the crankcase breather hose kit and hazard switch were replaced in September.

As for flaws, there are only a few. There are some chips, scratches, scuffs, dings, and touch-ups around the exterior. There is some faded paint protection film on rear fenders and some wear on the seats and touch points. Really, nothing out of the ordinary. The car comes with two sets of keys, the factory Audi wheels and owner’s manuals.
