Find of the Day: 1995 Polar Silver Audi RS2 Avant

With Audi Sport celebrating 25 years of RS models this year, it got me searching for the OG RS – the RS2 Avant. As one knows, the 25-year exemption for shipping early build RS2s to the States is upon us and the supply of them are very limited…less than 3,000 were produced. We’ve featured several RS2s as our Find of the Day: here, here, and here.

This particular Polar Silver example is in Portugal and it looks…well as great as you’d think. Here’s the ad (translated from Portuguese):

YEAR: 1995
MAKER: Audi
MODEL: RS 2
KILOMETERS: 142000
CASHIER: Manual
FUEL: Gasoline
POWER: 315 cv
MOTOR: 2.2L 5-cylinder 20V Turbo
BODY TYPE: Van
COR EXTERIOR: Gray
TRACTION: Integral
STATE: Original
PRICE: 47,900€

Before Panameras and Cayennes this was the Porsche utility. Although the colors of Audi envergue the truth is that their performance and charisma are 100% Porsche. The Audi RS2 Avant is, today, a portent of power and speed thanks to its 312 hp.

This national RS2 in Polar Silver, is 100% original and in spite of 140 000 kms retains the same strength and brightness since 1995.

Mileage is 140,000KM (87,000 miles) and it’s priced at €47,900 ($53,400USD). That seems pretty low for a pristine RS 2 example considering the other Polar Silver RS 2 we featured was priced at €69,911 ($89,600USD). Granted that one only had less than 40,000 miles on it but this seems a bargain.

Too good to be true? If you have an extra $54K, play the odds…you just might end up with a royal flush.  You can find the RS 2 HERE.
