Audi rolled out the C3 in 1982 and with it, the true Audi Avant was born. Audi had called a C2 model an Avant but in actuality, it was a 5-door hatchback. Avants have since captured the fancy of enthusiasts and Avants like this 1991 200 Avant 20v quattro set the stage. Here’s the ad:
