At first glance, it looks to be a regular 4000 but do a double take and you’ll see a couple of things missing. Two doors to be exact. What makes this even better (and rarer) is that it is also a quattro. How rare? Only 362 were made and this one found its way to Canada. Here’s the ad:
While the ad may be a very short description, the restoration was much longer. We saw this very Audi several years ago at Carlisle and it looked…tired. The amount of work and time into this rare specimen must have been huge and it shows. We’ve mentioned how rare the quattro version was but even the front wheel drive 80 2-doors were pretty rare.
