Brian Scotto Joins Audi Club North America Board of Directors

Audi Club North America has a notable new appointment to announce. Brian Scotto, Hoonigan Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Wheel Pros was recently appointed to Audi Club’s national Board of Directors to fill a vacant seat. In this new capacity, Brian brings his own highly unique expertise in the automotive lifestyle to one of America’s foremost brand-focused clubs and the Audi brand’s largest club worldwide.

During his time in the automotive space, Brian Scotto has progressed from starting his own New York area enthusiast club AutoKrieg, to run RIDES Magazine and found 0-60 Magazine. He went on to found the Hoonigan automotive lifestyle brand with noted rally driver Ken Block, where their explosively popular Gymkhana film series would expand to successful YouTube channels and more recent collaboration with Audi AG to progress Gymkhana into the EV age beginning with the Audi S1 Hoonitron.

Throughout all of this, Brian has remained an Audi aficionado. He purchased his first Audi, a ’91 Coupé quattro, early in his career. That car remains, finally completed, and displayed at last year’s SEMA Show, then joined its place amongst any number of other vintage Audi automobiles in the Scotto family driveway.

“While unbeknown to me at the time, starting my own NYC-based Volkswagen / Audi car club in 1999 would be the moment my tangential trajectory began in the automotive industry, so it seems only fitting that two decades later I return to helping run a club for one of my favorite marques,” Says Scotto. “I’ve always loved the community that this passion for cars creates, and I look forward to being able to take the skills and knowledge I have acquired creating content and building a brand and apply it to the thing that started it all, a car club.”

Audi Club North America was formed in 1984. In the decades since, it has established itself as one of the foremost brand-focused car clubs, with a mission to promote education around the automobile. Today it boasts 32 chapters across North America and is the biggest Audi Club in the world.

“The Audi Club Board is very excited to have Brian join the Board of Directors.  Every new Director is a gift to the Club, bringing their own experiences and expertise to bear in helping to improve the Club.  Brian is no different and brings wonderful experience and a unique perspective to our work.  We are thankful for his commitment to the Club and look forward to working together!” – Ryan Compton, Audi Club North America President

Brian Scotto’s addition to organizational leadership via a seat on the Audi Club Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity for all involved. His presence will help the team at Audi club align the organization even more effectively with a greater segment of the car enthusiast space where Brian has established himself as a major force. Too often legacy car clubs invest too much in looking only to the past, so I’m very excited to see how this augmented relationship with Brian can help Audi Club look forward, moving this storied and respected organization into the future. At the same time, this must be done with consideration and appreciation for the heritage of progress, engineering and fortitude that make the Audi brand so endearing to owners and enthusiasts.
