Though Monterey Car Week should be on any self-respecting car enthusiast’s bucket list of events not to miss, this rings particularly true for 2022. We’re working on a guide to the entire week of things Audi enthusiasts specifically won’t want to miss, but one of the things we’re most excited about is Legends of the Autobahn where Audi Tradition will support Audi Club by bringing in the 1988 Audi 200 Trans-Am racecar, 1989 Audi IMSA GTO racecar and a 1984 Audi quattro A2 Group B rally car.
If you weren’t already aware, these are three of a quartet of cars that are part of Audi Tradition’s German collection of Audi legends. Audi Tradition brought to the USA this summer to support projects with Hoonigan. Their use at events will be very limited, so the presence of these three cars at Legends of the Autobahn is a very unique and special opportunity for American Audi enthusiasts to see these four-ringged legends of the racetrack in person.
Registration for Legends of the Autobahn now open! Come join your fellow German marque enthusiasts Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Pacific Grove Links. Register HERE.
About Legends of the Autobahn
Legends Of The Autobahn® is an all-German marque Concours d’Elegance held in Pacific Grove, California, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Legends is hosted by the BMW Car Club of America, the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, and the Audi Club North America. The annual concours events offer both corral and judged areas, awards for all three featured marques, and an open class for all other German-made cars. The show field also features displays from manufacturers, sponsors, and vendors. Each year, the concours draws hundreds of cars and thousands of spectators that fill the show field. Spectators are regularly greeted by rare and historically significant models, as well as factory-prepared specials. The Legends Of The Autobahn® concours has become a national sensation among German car enthusiasts with widespread coverage in the automotive media.
