Auto Guangzhou 2025: Audi Accelerates in China With Tailored EVs

Audi is pushing forward with its largest-ever product offensive in China, strengthening its two-brand, two-partner strategy with FAW and SAIC. In just the second half of 2025, the company has launched five new China-specific models from local production.

Audi is expanding its lineup with both advanced EVs and efficient combustion models tailored to Chinese customer needs. At Auto Guangzhou 2025, the brand is showcasing multiple market-specific vehicles. This includes the new AUDI E SUV concept, which previews the second model from Audi’s China-exclusive sister brand.

A6L

Audi is expanding its long-running A6L lineup in China with the new fully electric A6L e-tron, marking the first electric C-segment sedan in this iconic model family. Building on nearly 40 years of A6 heritage in China, this includes pioneering the extended-wheelbase format, A6L e-tron delivers China-specific features. Buyers get a custom infotainment system, advanced local-market driver assistance tech, and a 132 mm longer wheelbase for enhanced rear comfort. Its 107-kWh battery enables up to 770 kilometers (478 miles) of range according to the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). And when it is time to recharge, you benefit from the 800-volt fast-charging capability.

The model is produced by the Audi FAW NEV joint venture in Changchun, which now manufactures all three localized PPE models—Q6L e-tron, Q6L Sportback e-tron, and A6L e-tron—launched within a single year.

AUDI E SUV

The AUDI E SUV concept previews a near-production, large all-electric premium SUV developed specifically for China under Audi’s China-exclusive sister brand, AUDI. Built on the jointly developed Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP) with partner SAIC, it blends Audi’s engineering with China-focused digital innovation.

The concept features two motors producing 500 kW, quattro all-wheel drive, 0–100 km/h in about five seconds, and a 109-kWh battery enabling over 700 kilometers (435 miles) CLTC range with 800-volt fast charging. Designed with China-specific driver assistance systems and a distinctive new design language, the E SUV showcases futuristic styling, advanced connectivity, and a spacious, premium footprint. It will debut in production form in 2026 as the brand’s second model.
